At Southern Plus East Fremantle Health & Wellness Centre, our group classes are delivered by accredited instructors and are designed for seniors aged 55 years and over to help them achieve their fitness goals. Our highly trained and experienced staff are committed to providing the necessary support and elderly health care services to help clients remain independent and fit.

Gym Classes:
Tai Chi for Arthritis
In 1997, Dr Paul Lam’s team of Tai Chi and medical experts designed the program Tai Chi for Arthritis especially for people with arthritis. This program is based on Sun style Tai Chi for its unique Qigong component which has a powerful healing ability. It contains all the essential principles of Tai Chi and the movements are safe. It is short and easy-to-learn. Tai Chi for Arthritis helps arthritis by improving muscular strength, flexibility and fitness.
Functional Fit
This class focuses on all elements of fitness: Cardiovascular, muscle conditioning, flexibility, and balance. The exercises are designed to develop your muscles to make it easier and safer to perform everyday activities. Using a range of equipment, it combines standing and seated exercise that are low impact and at an easy to follow pace. It is suitable for those who are starting out and wanting to enjoy a simple and fun class with friends.
Aqua Classes:
AquaFit
AquaFit is a fun, low impact class designed for seniors. With easy to follow moves using equipment to improve cardiovascular, range of movement and coordination, it is suitable for all levels. This class will leave you feeling empowered and feeling alive.
AquaBalance
If you’re looking to improve your strength, balance, and flexibility, AquaBalance is the class for you. Utilising your bodyweight and water as resistance, the class focuses on building strength and improving balance. It is ideal for anyone no matter your level of fitness. Come and give it a go and be prepared to leave feeling strong yet supple.

Living Longer Living Stronger (LLLS)
Living Longer Living Stronger endorsed by COTA is an evidence-based progressive strength training and exercise program designed specifically for the over 50’s.
It is an evidence-based program that encourages and supports change in the health and fitness sectors to achieve improved health, quality of life and fitness for people. The program is a fully personalised training that also has a social aspect enabling you to meet new people.
ECU Vario Clinic: Staying Strong
Specialist consultations are available from our highly trained and accredited allied health professionals. All sessions are supervised by our Accredited Exercise Physiologists who specialise in the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, chronic disease, and cardiac complications.
