2018 Care and Ageing Expo

Southern Cross Care spent the weekend at the Care and Ageing Expo held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The expo was a showcase of products, services, technology, information and education and provided an opportunity for people to have an informed choice about aged care. With a focus on innovation, there were over 80 exhibitors on show and 26 presentations from industry leaders.

The Hon Ken Wyatt AM, Federal Minister for Aged Care attended the expo on Saturday and we were honoured to be able to celebrate his birthday with him. In keeping with the celebrations, Minister Wyatt also announced $5.3 million for a pilot project to improve care for people with Dementia, with an emphasis on innovative technologies.
